William W. Newton Obituary
BRAZIL - William W. Newton, 82, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 9, 2020 at his home. He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana, on May 26, 1938 to the late Roy and Anna (Benfield) Newton.
Bill graduated from Gerstmeyer Tech in 1957, and served his country in the United States Army. He married Judith Waldbieser on July 24, 1964; they had four sons, Bill (Angela), Patrick (Jody), Dan (Jill), and Brandon (Jessica) Newton. William had ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren with one on the way.
Bill retired from Alcan Aluminum in Terre Haute after 40 years of service, and was a member of Good News Church in Brazil. He enjoyed going to church, fishing, and mushroom hunting. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and watching them play sports.
Bill was preceded in death by his son, Dan; and his brother, Dave Newton.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Clay City.
