Brazil, Indiana - Veda Elaine Bussing, 79, of Brazil, passed away March 9, 2026. She was born August 20, 1946, in Greencastle, the daughter of Lewis and Thelma Henson Rubeck. She graduated from Van Buren High School and later, Harrold Beauty Academy.

On July 20, 1968, she was united in marriage to David Bussing. They have been members of the Annunciation Catholic Church. Veda and Dave transformed more than their share of houses into homes. She had an eye for decorating and landscaping and worked side by side with Dave on all the remodeling.

Veda's career in real estate began in the late 1990's and lasted over 20 years as a broker with Coldwell Banker Real Estate.

Survivors include her husband David Bussing; their children, Stacy Bussing Burns (Larry Bohnert), Derek Bussing, and wife Amy; grandchildren, Harley Burns (Chelsea McCain), Bowen Bussing (Grace), and Brooklee Bussing; bonus family members Brent Bohnert and Lyla, and Jessica Bohnert along with many close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Rubeck and Thelma Rubeck Oehler.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 11:00am at the Annunciation Catholic Church with Father Suresh presiding. Visitation will be also on Monday at French Funeral Home from 10:00am-10:45am.
