Una Ruth Boyer, 104, of Marshall, IL, passed away Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024 at Marshall Rehabilitation and Nursing in Marshall, IL.

Una was born September 25, 1920, at Dennison, IL, the daughter of Harry B. and Ruth Setzer Farris.

On September 19, 1942, she married Robert Boyer. After 69 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on October 29, 2011.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Mary Farris, and brothers Roy Farris and Ray Farris, and a great-grandson Ty Steven Boyer. She is survived by children Allen (Sue) Boyer, Dr. Victor (Penny) Boyer, and Patty (John) Macke, all of Marshall; grandchildren John (Tami) Boyer, Scott (Vicki) Boyer, Steven Boyer, Robin (Todd) Pancake, and Eric (Melody) Boyer, all of Marshall, Curt (Tanya) Boyer of Howey-in-the-Hills, FL, Nathaniel (Molly) Macke of Carmel, IN, and Nell (Richard) Pike of Granite Bay, CA; and step-grandchildren Dan (Alyson) Thompson of Marshall and Jamie (Michael) Richards of Casey, IL; as well as great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Una graduated from Marshall High School in 1938 and then attended business college. She was an active member of Zion Church and attended regularly until the Covid pandemic. She was a willing worker there, helping with anything she could, and was a member of the Minnie King Church Circle. She was a former member of the Marshall Women's Club and the Neighborhood Coffee Club. Her happiest times were those spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services in honor of her life will be 11:00 AM Thursday, Oct. 31st at Pearce Funeral Home with Dan Crews officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held 9-11 AM Thursday at the funeral home. If friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Cemetery or the charity of choice.
