Brazil, Indiana - BRAZIL - Tricia M. Butts, 61, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family on June 10, 2025.

Tricia was born in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Frank and Betty (Kinsley) Spicka on May 3, 1964.

Tricia graduated from West Side High School in Omaha in 1982. After graduation she would travel to Brazil to visit her sisters, and would eventually move to Indiana in the late '80's. On October 5, 2001 she married Mark Butts. In 2007 she began working for Dr. Breitweiser where she worked up until she no longer could.

Tricia was a movie enthusiast. She enjoyed baking, reading, and doing puzzles. She loved spending time with her four-legged best friend, Willoughby. She loved true crime and could often be found watching Dateline. Most of all, Tricia loved spending time and taking care of her family, always putting them first, no matter the circumstance.

Tricia was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Mary Pamela Spicka.

Tricia is survived by her husband, Mark; her son, Matthew Butts and bonus sons, Andrew Butts (Kayla) and Austin Butts (Caitlyn); and six siblings, Michael Spicka (Patty), Cathy Fry, Cheri Weidner, Suzi Brown (Jim), Christie Kruml (Dan), and Frank Spicka; as well as many extended family members and friends; and of course, her loving dog, Willoughby.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 28th from 3-6 P.M. at the Staunton Community Center, 103 East Columbus Street in Staunton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clay County Humane Society.
