Marshall, IL - MARSHALL, Ill. - Tiffany Bair Macke, 58 of Marshall, Illinois passed away on Thursday, February 5th, 2026 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute Indiana, family by her side.

She was born in Danville, Indiana on May 13th, 1967, the daughter of William and Marilyn (Martin) Bair.

She is survived by her husband Brian, to whom she was married on December 5th, 1992; son Benjamin; daughter Dana Sanders; son-in-law Ryan Sanders; and grandsons Layton and Callum Sanders; as well as her father and stepmother Kyle Bair. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; mother; and two infant grandsons, Baker Sanders and Mason Sanders.

Tiffany grew up and graduated High School in Danville, Indiana where she played basketball, was a cheerleader, and was elected homecoming queen (a fact that seemed to embarrass her slightly). She maintained friendships with many classmates to her last days. She then graduated from Indiana University and later earned a MA from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College. She was employed by the University of Illinois Extension as a Community and Economic Development Educator. She became known in local schools as the "candy lady" for her use of sweets as a reward for participation in her workshops. Programs she developed continue in schools today because of people who are supportive of the values in her ideas.

She was devoted to her family, friends, students and fellow dreamers, making the world a better place one conversation at a time. She touched so many lives, living in a way that embodied her deep Spirituality and connection with the Universe and our Creator.

Tiffany's Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 8th beginning at 1:00 pm CDT at Sassafras Ridge in Marshall.
