Telsa Mae Ellington departed this life on May 10, 2018, at Union Hospital. She was born Jan. 20, 1961, to Lewis Albert Cunningham of Mount Vernon and Mary Elizabeth Butler-Summers of Meridian, Miss.
She was preceded in death by her father; grandparents, Hayes and Sallie Butler; and her, son Dwan Ellington.
Telsa leaves to cherish her memories, her mother; children, Oliver and Kayla Ellington; grandchildren; siblings, Geraldine Green, Leslie (Lester) Williams, Tina Nolan, George Cunningham, and Waddie Hood; her longtime boyfriend, Bobbie Brooks; and a host of brothers and sisters.
Telsa was a graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School. She worked for the Kroger Grocery chain for 30 years then retiring. Telsa will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 19, 2018, at City Worship Center, 2403 S. 8th St., at 11 a.m. Her calling will be Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery. Russell Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
