Taylor Grace Corbett-Head
FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Taylor Corbett-Head, 21, of Fairbanks, Alaska, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul. She was born in Martinsville, Indiana, on November 24, 1997.
During her formative years she lived in Terre Haute, Indiana, with her parents Troy and Shannon Corbett, and her two younger brothers Blaine and Bryce. She graduated in 2016 from West Vigo High School in Terre Haute, Indiana. Taylor loved sports and was very active in pursuing these endeavors, especially volleyball. Not only did she have a passion for this sport, one of her fondest loves was volunteering as a C.O.A. elementary league volleyball coach. Most of all she loved and adored young children, especially babies. If you were lucky enough to be present when she held or gazed into the face of a child, the pure joy from her was blinding. Taylor wanted nothing more than for them to have a wonderful life.
With help from her Grandmother Michelle, she traveled to Alaska to begin a new chapter in her life. This is where she met the love of her life. On December 5, 2018 she was united in marriage to Andrew Head in Fairbanks, Alaska. Together they raised 2 cats, Luma and Lil Pea, also known as their adopted children.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother Michelle Corbett and grandfather Frank Rice. Taylor is survived by her loving husband Andrew, Alaska; father Troy Corbett; mother Shannon Corbett; brothers Blaine and Bryce Corbett; and grandmother Sally Rice, all of West Terre Haute, Indiana; mother-in-law Deborah Lowery-Head; sisters-in-law Helena Dumas (Lemaire), and April Lowery, from Chicago, Illinois; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
When you think of Taylor, celebrate the fond memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short, and should be lived to the fullest. Taylor was a beautiful, gentle and loving woman who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will begin at 4:00 pm Wednesday, November 13, 2019, Chapel of Chimes,
415 Illinois Street, Fairbanks, Alaska.
A celebration of life service will be held Friday, November 15, 2019, visitation from 5:00 to 6:30 pm, Communion service at 6:30 pm, Saint Mary's Village Church, St. Mary-of-The-Woods, Indiana.
