TERRE HAUTE - Susan C. Domeika (58) of Terre Haute and formerly of Clinton passed away February 24, 2022 at 2:40 AM in Union Hospital - Terre Haute. Born August 26, 1963, in Clinton to John Domeika and Elinore Misus Domeika.

A graduate of South Vermillion High School class of 1981, Indiana State University (BS) in Life Sciences/Chemistry minor (1984-1986), and Vincennes University (AS) in Biology Technician/Biotechnology Laboratory Technician (1981-1984).

Member of the Implementation Task Force. ITF is responsible for implementing the TRACC system of business management to the Dupont work force. Susan was a dedicated employee of DuPont/Danisco of Terre Haute for 20 years prior to retiring. Susan obtained qualifications and interests in, but not limited to, High Performance Liquid Chromatography, Spectrophotometry, Titration, UV/Vis, and Chemistry.

In her personal life, Susan enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, going to the casino, sewing, traveling (especially to the lakes in Michigan) and solving an array of puzzles. She was involved with most activities with her many friends at Cobblestone Crossings where she resided. She was a one-of-a-kind, joyous person who would make everyone feel welcome and was loved by many. Her hobbies included gardening, bird watching, and a fascination with astronomy.

Preceded in death by her parents; life partner, Dave Carithers; and her two fur babies, Little Bit and Roxie.

Survived by one sister, Ann Crum of Brown County, Indiana; two nieces, Kyra and Grace Crum; her caregiver and "considered" daughter, Tiffany (Carithers) Girton and her husband Kodie; and one granddaughter; Savanuh Girton, all of Clay County, Indiana; cousins and other family members; and her beloved fur baby, Chester.

Cremation was chosen with a celebration of life to be announced later.

Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society.
