Terre Haute, IN - Dr. Susan Siebenmorgen Amos, 71, a dedicated physician and beloved member of the Terre Haute community, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025 in Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and service. She was born April 20, 1954 in Terre Haute to Dr. Paul Siebenmorgen and Jane Waggnor Siebenmorgen.

Survivors include her children, Colleen Amos, Andrea Hammett (Johnathan), and Patrick Amos; brother, Paul Siebenmorgen (Marilyn); sister, Libby Allen (Jim); grandchildren, Brennen, Maddox, Kensley, Charlie, Jay, Jack, and Sawyer; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Nolan.

Susan was a third-generation family physician, being the first female graduate of Union Hospital's residency program and joining her father in medical practice in 1984. She faithfully served the com- munity for over four decades. Her commitment to public health extended beyond her practice, as she held multiple terms as Vigo County Coroner being the first female Coroner in Vigo County.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 15, 2025 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Rev. Rebecca Zelensky officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Riley Hospital for Children.
