Terre Haute, Indiana - Shirley A. Lee, age 90, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on December 12, 1934, in Terre Haute to Mark N. Lee and Josephine (Dildine) Lee.

Shirley was a devoted mother to Cheryl Cash (Earl), Karen Fisher (Jim), Jill Webster, and John Yowell. She was a cherished grandmother to Shawn Stultz (Christa), Alissa Cesinger (Billy), Larry Kassis (Heidi), Kindra Bigger (John), Morgan Wilt (Kevin), Cole Fisher (Danaya), Taylor Defore (Jordan), Kristen Webster, Katie Webster, John Salmeri (Rose), and Jacob Salmeri (Christa). Shirley is survived by two daughters (Cheryl and Karen), 11 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren (plus another one on the way).

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings Jean Taylor (Joe) and Chuck Lee (Sue); her children John Yowell and Jill Webster; her son-in-law Earl Cash; and her great-great-grandchildren Jade Kassis, Ty Kassis, and Miranda Stultz.

Shirley enjoyed reading, painting, gardening, and playing board games with her grandchildren (especially Aggravation and Checkers). She was insistent that you always mind your manners, play by the rules, and never ever cheat.

Throughout the years, Shirley made many friends at Peddle Park. In recent years, she made a special friend, Darlene McCaskill, who visited often. Shirley and Darlene enjoyed singing "It's Gonna Be Alright," "The Lord's Prayer," and many other hymns and old songs together.

Shirley's family would like to give a special thanks to Dana Dove and the entire Hospice team. Not only was Dana a wonderful and caring nurse to Shirley, but she has become a lifelong friend to the family.

Because Shirley was a private person, her family is honoring her request to not have a service.
