BRAZIL - Sherry went home to be with her Lord and Savior, while surrounded by her loving husband and daughters. She had courageously battled breast cancer for eleven years.

Sherry leaves behind her spouse William "Steve" Kidwell and her daughters Ashley N. Kidwell and Katelyn M. Kidwell, and her loving dog Millie. She is survived by her father George W. Warner, her mother Shelva J. Warner (Trout), and her half sisters Candice Nuttall (Zambenini) and Teresa Smith (Zambenini). She was preceded in death by her half brother William Zambenini.

Sherry was born September 25, 1969. She graduated from Terre Haute North High School in 1987. While at North, she was a competitive cheerleader. The 1985-86 Patriot cheer team, of which she was a part, won the United Spirit National Championship cheerleading competition in Anaheim, California.

Sherry attended Indiana State University after high school, where she met Steve just prior to freshman classes starting in the late summer of 1987. She studied English education and graduated with a secondary English teaching degree.

Sherry served 26 years with the Vigo County School Corporation, touching countless lives in her long teaching career. During her tenure, she coached both cheerleading at Terre Haute North and track and field at Woodrow Wilson. Sherry was honored with the Wabash Valley Community Foundation Excellence in Teaching Award in May of 2020. She was loved and admired by her family, friends, colleagues, and students.

Sherry loved going to beaches whether they were located at the ocean or the great lakes. She traveled often to seaside destinations with her loved ones over the course of three decades. Sherry visited well over 100 lighthouses in more than ten different states and climbed to the top of most of them. She was an active member of the United States Lighthouse Association.

Her favorite thing though, was simply spending time with her family at the beach houses. She planned and organized every trip and made sure every family member and friend had a wonderful time.

Sherry was universally loved, admired, and respected because she was the epitome of what a good person should be. Sherry was a person of faith and she lived her life serving others.
