Terre Haute, IN - TERRE HAUTE - Sally Corrine (Hughes) Walters, 88, of Terre Haute, IN passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, December 5, 2025.

She was born to Ralph Hughes and Nellie (Akers) Hughes in Vigo County on September 26, 1937. Sally married her beloved late husband, Bill Ray Walters, in 1956 and shared a life of happiness with him.

Sally enjoyed painting, cross-stitching, and sewing. She made beautiful quilts and often shared her talents with others. During the Christmas season, Sally loved to make cookies and candy, a tradition everyone looked forward to. She loved being part of the Gold Wing Motorcycle Club and enjoyed the rides, friendships, and adventures that came with it.

Sally is preceded in death by both of her parents; husband; daughter Tina Krueger; and five siblings.

Sally is survived by brother Don (Carol); sisters Dixie (Terry) and Linda (Charlie); son-in-law John; grandchildren Emily (David) and Tiffany (Doug); and great-grandchildren Jabin, J.R., Ava, Josiah, and Ana.

Visitation for Sally took place on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at DeBaun Springhill Chapel. Service began at 1:00 pm officiated by Pastor Ray Austin. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley.
