Charleston, IL - CHARLESTON, Ill. - Ruth Arlene Scank (Zuckerman), 88, of Charleston, IL passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 peacefully in her home.
She was born to Henry Arthur Marrow and Stanislaus Antonette Chapolonis in Brockton, MA on April 5, 1937.
Ruth retired from Red Lobster and was extremely proud of her accomplishments there. She loved to volunteer at Ryves Hall where she was a foster grandmother.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; her daughters, Darlene Lutz and Heidi Scank; and by multiple siblings.
Ruth is survived by her sons, Larry Scank, Jr. and Anthony Scank; daughters, Gina Dickens (Dave), Kristina Blackburn (Tony), and Cristine Silva; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Happiness Bag in Ruth's Memory.
Visitation for Ruth will be on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Deacon Steve Gretencord. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at:
