CORY - Ruby Ann (Westfall) Mitchell, 91, of Cory, Indiana, passed away at home, on November 6, 2021, following an extended illness.

Ruby was born on August 25, 1930, in Cory, Indiana the daughter of Dewey and Laura (Burger) Westfall. She married Galen Mitchell on September 4, 1948. Together they raised 3 boys: Jack, Bill, and Bob. She enjoyed crafting, flower gardening, cooking, baking, going to yard sales, playing Bingo, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dewey and Laura Westfall; her husband Galen Mitchell; and siblings: Charles Westfall, Ruth Rickerd, Margaret VanHorn, Paul Westfall, Gary Westfall, and Hubert Burger.

Survivors include her children: Jack Mitchell and wife Joanie of Brazil, Bill Mitchell and wife Phyllis of Cory, and Bob Mitchell and wife Vernalee of Cory; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 E. Eighth St., Clay City, IN 47841, on Thursday, November 11, 2021, from 4-8 pm. Services will be at the funeral home on Friday, at 11:00 am, with Pastor Pat Shay officiating. Special music will be provided by Pastor Bob Muncie and Peggy Collins. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, in Riley, Indiana.
