St. Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana - ST. MARY-OF-THE-WOODS - Rose Marie "Rosie" Findley Meehan passed away June 22, 2026, in Providence Health Care in St. Mary-of-the-Woods. She was born April 19, 1937, in Vigo County, Indiana to Okel and Jessie (Mott) Findley. She married Thomas Meehan Jr. on August 16, 1969, and they had three wonderful sons, who were their greatest pride and joy. Rose Marie graduated from Schulte High School and attended St. Mary-of-the-Woods College. She worked at Indiana Bell Telephone Company and General Telephone Company and retired from Rueben H. Donnelley Company. She was a lifelong member of the St. Mary's Village Church, and enjoyed taking long walks, and visiting with the alpacas at the college.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters, and brothers-in-law, Mary Louise O'Dwyer (Tom), Frances Smith (Allen), Theresa Callahan (Danny), brothers, John Findley (Lois), Joesph Patrick (Filomina), Jerry, and infant twin siblings, Patrick and Patricia.

She is survived by her three sons and her greatest joy in life, Thomas Francis of St Mary-of-the-Woods, John Michael of Provo, Utah, and Daniel Joseph and his wife Jenny of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, and their three children, Sam, Maddie, and James, who she thoroughly loved and enjoyed. Also surviving, brother, Jim Findley (Patty) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, sisters, Jane Frazier, and Nancy Fitzjarrald (Floyd) of Irvine, California, and many other family and friends.

Mass for Rosie will be July 9, 2026, at 11 am, in St. Mary-of-the-Woods Village Church. Visitation will be from 10 am until Mass. Private burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the White Violet Center for Eco-Justice to help care for the Alpacas.
