Ronald Charles Sclight, 72, of Bowling Green, Indiana, passed away on January 30, 2021 at Westminster Village in Terre Haute. Ronald was born on March 15, 1948, the son of Charles Sclight and Catherine (Youtz) Sclight.

Ronald served in the Coast Guard for four years and was honorably discharged in 1972. After serving, he earned his associate's degree in building construction technology from Vincennes University. Ronald worked all his life serving others. He worked as a conservation officer for 7 years, was a Superintendent of Building and Grounds at Rose-Hulman for over 16 years and retired as a Maintenance Supervisor from Spencer Owen School Corporation where he worked 13 years.

Ronald was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing in tournaments. He was a member of the Central Indiana Anglers, Ducks Unlimited, and the local Clay County Merit Board. When Ronald was not golfing or fishing, he enjoyed driving Ford trucks. He loved spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, whom he was married to over 52 years, Kathy Sclight; daughter, Allison (Johnathon) Jadvani of Texas; grandson and golfing partner, Charlie Jadvani; sisters, Kay Brown (Jerry) of Thorntown and Donna Sclight of Crawfordsville; nephews, Richard Brown (Becky) of Atlanta and Robert Brown (Lisa), of Indianapolis; niece, Patricia Touil (Aziz) of Indianapolis; and great-nieces, Taryn Brown and Camilla Touil.

Visitation will be held at Lawson-Miller Chapel on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Paul Zurcher officiating. Per Ronald's wishes, cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Ronald to the American Caner Society, Clay County YMCA, and the Indiana Sheriffs Youth Ranch. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
