Ronald Lee Sanders, 71, of Mecca, Ind., passed away at 12:03 a.m. Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Union Hospital Clinton. He was a retired coal miner and musician. He was born Jan. 1, 1947, in Clinton, to the late Russell Sanders and Hazel Miller Sanders.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Taylor Sanders; four sons, Toby (Colleen) Sanders and David "Punkin" Sanders, both of Mecca, Jeremy (Emily) Bettis of Bloomington and Jason Bettis of Rosedale; one daughter, Jenny (Brian) Benjamin of Mecca; and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Angie Bullington, Sept. 12, 2012.
He attended Mecca School until his Junior year graduating from Rockville High School in 1965. He was a Mason, member of Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, Zorah Shrine of Terre Haute participating in the motorcycle corps and the Mecca A.R.A.B.S.
