BRAZIL - Ronald "Ron" E. Haynes, 78, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away on April 1, 2025.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years Jenifer; his sister Janice Hudson; niece Traci Banta; nephew Brent Hudson (Coletta Rivar); great-nephews Broc Hudson and Cole Banta (Felicia); and great-niece Shelbey Mayhew (Logan); great-great-nephews Jaxson, Brody, Owen, and Baker; and great-great-niece Taylyn.

He was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Mabel Haynes, great-great-nephew Ivar Banta, and brother-in-law Larry Hudson.

Ron retired from Eli Lilly in 2003 after 33 years of service. He and Jenny loved raising Quarter Horses and racing them at Shelbyville. He was most proud of being inducted into the Indiana Quarter Horse Racing Association Hall of Fame in 2014 along with their beloved stallion Twaynas Dash.

Ron was happiest tinkering in his shop, where he was able to fix almost anything.
