TERRE HAUTE - Ronald Eugene Depasse, 85 of Terre Haute, passed away at his home on September 16, 2023.

He was born on February 15, 1938 in Brookfield, Illinois to the late John and Sarah (Bonte) Depasse.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Rita Inez Depasse; his parents; brothers, John F., Clarence and Gerald Depasse; and sisters, Emily Depasse, Cheri Hubbard and Marie Chlopecki.

Ron and Rita were united in marriage on February 14, 1961.

Survivors include his sons, Kenneth Depasse (Teresa), Jeffrey Depasse (Shawn, deceased), and Robert Depasse (Dawn); and daughter, Tami Depasse (James); grandchildren, Kevin Depasse (Emily), Brian Depasse (Molly), Lauren Durham (Ryan), Patrick Depasse (Rudee), Rebecca Depasse, Katie Vervack (Josh), and Allison Seaman; and great-grandchildren, Ella Durham, Evelyn Durham and Max Depasse.

Ronald served honorably in the US Air Force until June of 1964.

Ronald was a member of Saint Benedict Catholic Church of Terre Haute and he was a distinguished member of the banking industry in Terre Haute for 47 years.

Private Family Services will be held at Calvary Cemetery of Terre Haute.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to VNA Hospice of the Wabash Valley.
