Ronald Lee Delph Sr. of Fairview Park went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, April 28, 2016, at his residence.

Ron was born in Cincinnati, on Sept. 4, 1940, to Bernard and Edna(Warner) Delph. On Feb. 23,1963, he married Joyce Elaine Britton of Newport. Ron and Joyce were blessed with three children: Laura (Mark) Miller of Camargo, Ill., Ron (Deirdre) Delph Jr. of Mooresville, and Christal (Chris) Dalbey of Sullivan, Ill. Through the years Ron and Joyce loved sharing in their families' lives.

In addition to his children, he is survived by a sister, Rosemary Tolson of Virgina; grandchildren, Justin (fiancé Nick) Hastings of Indianapolis, Jessica (Codey) Summerville of Clinton, Jerret (Kaci) Hastings of Camby, Michael (Jacylnn) Hamilton of Clinton, Kent and Raven Delph of Mooresville, Brycen, Jayce, Zachery and Eli Dalbey of Sullivan, Jacob, Jackson Miller of Camargo; great-grandchildren, Easton, Emma, and Alex.

Ron was active in the community for many years. He was a member of the Fairview Fire Department, Masonic Lodge 99, Zorah Shrine Zips and Victory Baptist Church. He worked and retired from Eli Lilly.

Ron was a jokester and never met a stranger.

A celebration of Ron's life will be held Monday, May 2, 2016, at Victory Baptist Church at 12:30 p.m. (133 South Washington St., Clinton) with Pastor Larry Snyder officiating.
