Terre Haute, Indiana - Robin Jay Neal, born on September 1, 1953, passed away unexpectedly on May 31, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert M. "Bob" Neal and Janis Darlene Neal.

He is survived by his brother Mark Neal (Angela) and his sister Janene "Jan" Heller; his niece Shawna Jo Lucas; nephews, Wesley Neal (Aleah), Alex Heller (Kristal), Aaron Heller (Hannah); several-great nieces and nephews; and four great-great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his very dear friend Mary Heady.

Robin graduated from Honey Creek High School in 1971. After high school he went to Indiana University and ISU earning his master's degree. Robin taught at Honey Creek Junior High, his old alma mater.

When his sight started to fail, Robin went to work for his dad, Bob Neal, at the Allstate office on South 25th Street.

Robin had a love for life. His main love was music. He was a beautiful singer and played the guitar and the piano. He was in a couple of bands that played around the area. He also had a love of nature and photography, which he combined by taking beautiful photographs on his nature walks. He loved to play tennis and racquetball. He also loved entertaining his nephews and niece when they were little, teaching them chords on the guitar, some of his tae kwon do moves and watching movies with them.

Robin was an avid comic book collector and was very proud of his collection. He also enjoyed sharing his collection with his nephews and niece.

Once his vision was too bad to continue working he spent many hours on his computer, listening to music and making CDs for his friends and family.

Robin loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and we take comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain and has joined his loved ones that have gone on before him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Southside Church of Christ located at 4117 S. 7th St., Terre Haute, Indiana, on June 14, 2025 at 3:00pm with visitation from 2:00-3:00pm.
