Robert Edward "Rob" Steed, 57, of Jasonville, IN, died at 4:12 P.M. Friday, July 14, 2023 in his home in Jasonville.

He was born November 9, 1965 in Chula Vista, CA to Robert C. Steed and Patti I. (Hoard) Ramey.

Robert married Lori Ann Steed on December 30, 1989; she passed away on February 5, 1993.

Survivors include his father, Robert Steed (Rita) of Clinton, IN; mother, Patti Ramey (James) of Linton, IN; son, Ryder Anthony Steed of Hymera, IN; stepdaughter, Ashley Nicole Earle; sister, Tammy Fulton (Richard) of Athens, TX; stepbrothers, Robert Ramey (Debbie) of Mantino, IL, John Muciarelli of Clinton, IN; nieces and nephews, Nicholas Mifflin, Andrew Mifflin (Kelly), Cassandra Rolston (Levi); great-niece, Alauna Rolston; aunt, Mary Smith Long; uncles, Charles Hoard, Thomas Hoard; several cousins; his best friend, Jerry Sullivan; and his beloved dog, Otis.

He was preceded in death by his wife; son, William Robert Blackwell Steed; grandparents, Archie Hoard and Florene (Long) Hoard, Robert A. and Norma (Carson) Steed; stepbrother, James J. Ramey; and aunts, Sonja Ward and Emily Padgett.

Rob attended Linton-Stockton High School. He worked at Soil & Conservation in Redlands, CA. Besides being skilled as a mechanic, he also worked at Beech Grove House of Grooming, Ramey's Poodle Parlor and Indy Rockers Construction.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, IN. Visitation is scheduled from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. Friday, July 21, 2023 at the funeral home. Services are immediately following at 1 P.M. with Pastor John Riker officiating.

Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
