Robert Alan Mount
September 9, 1949 - April 27, 2018
Robert Alan Mount, 68, of Terre Haute, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 27, 2018, at his home. He was born on Sept. 9, 1949, in Terre Haute to Lorin Dale Mount and Sharon Arlene (Smith) Mount.
Bob was a 1967 graduate of Gerstmeyer High School. He joined the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was a military police officer and dog handler of K9's Pepper and Major. For 40 years, Bob worked in the printing department at Hulman and Company.
Bob had a passion for genealogy and kept extensive records of the family tree. He was also an avid train enthusiast and was a very active member of the Haley Tower Historical and Technical Society. A man of great knowledge, Bob loved to read and do research on various topics. He liked being outdoors fishing and doing yard work. He was always behind the camera because he loved taking pictures.
Bob is survived by his siblings, Dale "Genie" Mount, Linda Lindley, Harry Mount (Debra), Dennis Mount (Debra Moscardelli), and Dottie Mount, all of Terre Haute; nieces, Stephanie Lindley of Carmel and Charlene Smith (Daniel) of West Terre Haute; nephew, Jay Lindley of Terre Haute; aunts, Margie Odom (Gary) of Arlington, Texas, and Donna Pearson (Kenny) of West Terre Haute; uncle, Sam Smith (Pat) of Mesquite, Nev.; and many cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018, at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be 1 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Larry Lilly officiating. Bob will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park, with military honors provided by American Legion Post 346. Condolences may be left at: www.roselawnfuneralhome.net

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
