Robert "Bobby" Manuel, 76, was born Aug. 3, 1941, in Terre Haute, to Russell Manuel Sr. and Viola Russell Manuel. Bobby departed this life at 10:18 p.m. May 31, 2018, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, while surrounded by his loving family.

He was the the fourth of six children. Bobby grew up and attended school in Terre Haute, graduating from Fontanet High School. Bobby worked at several places, Regional Hospital, Alcan, a truck driver at Gibson, Midland Glass, Quaker Oats and at the VCSC.

Bobbie was a special person who was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, three brothers, LeRoy (Debbie) Manuel, Joe (Marjorie) Manuel and Russell (Nancy) Manuel; sister, Viola Rita (Dennis) Manuel; sister-in-law, Betty Manuel; stepsister, Annetta Sweatt, stepbrother, Myron Ross of Chicago; two aunts, Florence Cooper and Barbara Manuel of Ohio; special cousin and caregiver, Beverly Bailey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents; and brother, Jim.

Funeral services are Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 1 p.m. in Second Baptist Church with calling hours from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday in the church. Russell Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
