Bob Ireland was born in Minneapolis, MN, to Leroy and Florence Ireland. Bob and his wife, Virginia, reared four children together, largely in Terre Haute, IN: Mike (Katherine), Rex (Jessie), Steve, and Kathleen Ireland-Koob (Cyril).

They were blessed with five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Bob and Virginia were married for 43 years. He worked at Bemis his entire career of 43½ years. He was loved and respected by the employees and community. During his time at Bemis, Bob was involved with several charitable and civic organizations, including United Way, Goodwill, Rotary Club, Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce, Montrose and United Memorial Methodist churches. At the time of his retirement, Bob was President of the Bemis Company Film Division. The family lost Virginia in 1989, shortly after Bob retired.

After a friendship that grew over the next few years, Bob married Luba Horecki in 1992. The two had many common interests, including traveling. Luba and Bob were married for 28 years. Luba has four children as well as eight grandchildren.

Bob lived a wonderful, long life of 95 years and leaves a legacy of kindness. Bob was always ready with a joke or story and would often tell people that "the world is a better place because you lived." We all feel the same way about you, Dad.

A memorial service in Minneapolis will follow at a later date. If desired, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
