TERRE HAUTE - Robert (Bob) Virgil Black, age 77, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022.
Robert was born October 6, 1944 to Virgil and Thelma Louise Black in Terre Haute.
He was a 1962 graduate of Garfield High School, as well as a proud Marine Vietnam veteran.
Bob's life consisted of 40 years of Law Enforcement, Marine Corps Military Police, the Terre Haute Police Department, and the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility.
He was a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 972.
Bob is survived by his son, Robert S. Black; and his grandchildren, Mason Black and Chloe Black.
Per Bob's wishes, cremation has been chosen. There will be no services.
