Robert Dale Bell Obituary

Robert Dale Bell, 89, passed away on December 23, 2019 at his daughter's home in Center Point, Indiana surrounded by his family. He was born in Brazil, Indiana on October 30, 1930 to the late George and Martha (Muncie) Bell. He attended Brazil High School and then served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. On October 14, 1950 Robert married his wife of 68 years, Gertrude (McCoy) Bell.

Robert worked for IBM for over 30 years and was proud to be a manager at the Greencastle plant on its last day. He also owned his own upholstery shop.

Robert was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was an avid woodworker. He also loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Bell, and brother George W. Bell.

Survivors include daughter Nanette (Dale) Brown Brazil, Indiana and Janette (Michael) Ledgerwood,Center Point, Indiana; sister Gynelle (Richard) Stearley; grandchildren Jaime (Jeremy Lamb) Bailey, Jeremiah (Sarah) Ledgerwood, Ali Brown, Lucas (Jessica Eisenbrandt) Ledgerwood and Levi (Taylor Bastin) Ledgerwood; great-grandchildren Isabella Bailey, Audron Ledgerwood, Isaac Ledgerwood, Rilan Brown and Brielle Eisenbrandt. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. with visitation from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil, Indiana on Friday, December 27, 2019 with Jeremy Lamb officiating.

Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Brazil, Indiana.

The family will accept friends for visitation on Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
