Terre Haute - Richard Eugene Hill Sr., 65, of Terre Haute, passed away on June 7, 2026. He was born on January 11, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, to Carl Elton Hill and Carolyn Sue Hill. Richard was a retiree of the Laborers Local 204.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother, Darrell Alan Hill (Shauni) of Centralia, Illinois; his soulmate, Denise O'Rourke of Terre Haute, Indiana; and his niece and nephew.

Richard was an avid drummer who thoroughly enjoyed performing. Known for his humor, one of his favorite expressions between sets was, "We have had several requests, but we are going to play anyway." His other passions included nurturing plants, restoring broken drums, spending time with his dogs, and attending live concerts. Richard and his brother Alan also enjoyed a friendly, competitive game of golf together every chance they had.

He was deeply loved by those who knew him and will be greatly missed.
