ROSEDALE - Ray Moss, 70, of Rosedale and formerly of West Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024 surrounded by his family.

He was born on May 26, 1953 in Terre Haute to Raymond Moss and Evelyn Bolin Moss.

Ray started working at the family farm at an early age and started working for Charlie Ray and Roy LeMay farming in the river bottoms and working in the hog barns at age 14. He did farming all of his life and loved farming his own ground. Ray had a strong work ethic and worked hard all of his life. He was always there to help someone when they needed it. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandpa, papaw, and friend. He was a proud union laborer and a 50-year member of Laborers Local 204.

Ray married Donna Klain on June 23, 1973 and celebrated their 50-year anniversary last year.

He is survived by his wife Donna Klain Moss and their children Gary Moss and his wife Jaime of Terre Haute, Brandy Moss Kelley of Brazil and Brad Moss of Terre Haute; granddaughters Kayla Moss and Eden Kelley; and other extended family and many friends.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters Carol White and Judy McGregor; niece Tina Thomas; and nephews James "Mac" McGregor and Frank Stultz; his father and mother- in-law Frank and Mildred (Mid) Klain; his best friend Jim Stultz; and his beloved dog Jake.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Services will follow at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
