PARIS, Ill. — Paul Victor Pine, 94, of Paris, passed away at 7:50 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Paris Community Hospital. Born Aug. 2, 1921, he was the son of the late Fred B. Pine and Jennie May (McConchie) Pine.
He was a sales clerk for Art Reese Lumber Company. Mr. Pine was a United States Army veteran of World War II, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3601, and American Legion Post 211.
He married Frieda (Stepp) Pine, July 22, 1944, in Paris and she survives. Other survivors include two sons, Ron Pine of Redmon, Ill., and Greg Pine of Paris; a brother, Ed Noel of Paris; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Robert Pine and Glenn Pine.
Visitation for Mr. Pine will be from 9 to 10 a.m. CDT Thursday, June 30, 2016, in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post 211 and VFW Post 3601. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
