Monte C. Knoblett, 53, of Terre Haute, passed away at 4 p.m. EST Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at his residence. He was born Oct. 5, 1963, in Clinton, the son of Robert "Bob" E. Knoblett and Carol E. (Spellman) Knoblett.

Survivors include two sons, Chad (fiancée Allisha Morgan) Knoblett of West Terre Haute and Clayton Knoblett of Terre Haute; his mother, Carol E. Knoblett of Dana; four granddaughters; one sister, Lisa (Phil) Gilldea of Buena Vista, Colo.; two brothers, Mike (Carrie) Knoblett of Attica and Kevin (Krys) Knoblett of Le Sueur, Minn.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his many friends at "Twiggys" in Terre Haute.

Monte was preceded in death by his father, Robert "Bob" E. Knoblett.

Monte was currently employed for the past 10 years at GE Aviation in Terre Haute. He was a 1981 graduate of Champaign Central High School (Illinois). He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushrooming, listening to country music and riding his Harley.

Funeral services are 1 p.m. EST Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, at DeVerter Funeral Home, Cayuga, with the Rev. Jon Overbey officiating. Burial is at Hopewell Cemetery in Quake. Visitation is 11 a.m. EST Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, until time of services at the funeral home. Condolences:
