NEWPORT - Mona J. Morson, 82, went to be with her Lord on Feb. 21, 2018, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
She was born May 23, 1935, in Riverside, the daughter of the late Alton and Marion "Pib" Richey.
She is survived by her husband, Bert A. Morson Jr. of Newport; children, Bridget Peterson of Danville, Ill., Jeff Hayman of Covington, Leslie Weir of Cayuga, Carie Birkle of Tilton, Ill., Tony Morson of Newport, and Jimmy Morson of San Diego, Calif.; and a sister, Judy Martin of Newtown.
Funeral services are Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, at 1 p.m. at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga. Visitation is 11 a.m. until time of services Tuesday. Burial is in Salem Cemetery, in Attica.
