CLINTON - Michael E. Gilman (65) of Clinton passed away at I.U. Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis November 23, 2024, at 9:48 PM.
Born June 30, 1959, in Terre Haute to Don and Jane Matin Gilman. He married Susan Heber, September 18, 1993.
Mike started working for his parents at the former Castle Restaurant in Clinton. He was a laborer with Local 240 and was the owner and operator at Dreamland Tavern. He also was a Treaty Inspector at Newport Chemical Depot and custodian at Blue Grass Army Depot.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lee Ann Gilman Randolph.
He is survived by his wife, Susan of Clinton; son, Zach (Jesica) Gilman of Montezuma; daughter, Lauren Swinefurth of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Sutton Swinefurth, Julian Gilman and Joelle Gilman; sister, Nancy (Brian) Smith of Clinton; brother-in-law, Tom (Lorrie) Heber of Terre Haute; nephew, Chris (Jenny) Fossi; and nieces, Mandy (Justin) Garzolini and Jenny (Chris) Uselman. He is also survived by several great-nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held December 1, 2024, at Cobble's Station (901 N. 9th Street, Clinton, Indiana). Visitation will be from 4;00 PM to 8:00 PM with memorial words at 6:00 PM at Cobble's Station.
