Michael Leroy Ensminger, 68, of Terre Haute passed on Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, surrounded by his family. Mike was born in Terre Haute on Dec.30, 1947, the son of the late James and Ollie Archer.
He served in the Unites States Army during the Vietnam War, from 1965 to 1968, and received the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, The National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Overseas Service Bar and the Air Medal. Mike was a retired painter with Union 197. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all his family.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Bill, Freddie, David, and Denny Archer.
Michael is survived by his wife of 44 years, Connie L. Ensminger; children, Dustie Ensminger, Chasity (Todd) Jordan, and Michael L. Ensminger Jr.; grandchildren, Andrea and Sean Fortner, Todd Jordan Jr. and Alexis Ensminger; siblings, Jimmy Archer, Debbie Archer-Clark, Jerry Archer, Buckey Archer, Denita Pegg, Lori Archer and Mickey Archer; along with several nieces and nephews. Per Mike's request there will be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of Simple Cremations and Burials.
