LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Matthew Ora Korenski, age 78 of Lake Worth, Florida passed peacefully on September 6, 2023, at 7:10pm surrounded by his family.

He was born in Terre Haute September 24, 1944. Matthew graduated from Garfield High School in 1963. He was a brick mason for Union Local 5, then moved to Palm Beach County. He retired from Palm Beach School Board after 24 years.

He was a spiritual man who loved his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and cooking, especially outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his mother Margaret E. Woods Korenski and father Matthew J. Korenski; brothers George and Stanley. Survived by his wife Rita A. Knopp Korenski of 60 years; daughters Kimberly Klein (Josh) and Kelly Dyess (Dean); his grandchildren Elizabeth Mercado (Jason), and Dean and Brinsley Dyess; brother Joe Korenski (Margaret); and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at 1 PM at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home; entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
