TERRE HAUTE - Mary Tilda Cox, 87, of Terre Haute, passed away on August 22, 2021.

She was born to Clarence and Ruth (Sullivan) Kimbler on July 23, 1934 in Prairieton, Indiana.

Mary is survived by her four children: Karen Harris, Peggy Cox, Donald R. Cox, and Rebecca Shannon (Bill); her 9 grandchildren: Brandon Harris (Megan), Miranda Morris (James), Jessica Vogel, Sarah Forsythe, Michael Forsythe, Chris Wood, Dustin Cox (Rachel), Courtney Montell (Mike) and Melissa Wood; and 19 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mary was known for being a devoted mother and housewife. She enjoyed reading and collecting figurines. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 43, the American Legion Post 104, and Vigo County Home Ec. Club, as well as the United Commercial Travelers.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Donald E. Cox; and her 9 siblings; as well as her grandchild, Ryan Wood.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 from 5-8pm. A memorial service will be on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 12pm, with a visitation prior from 11am -12pm. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.
