Rockville, Indiana - ROCKVILLE - Marvin Dale Berry, 88, of Rockville, Indiana, passed away at 3:18 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at Mill Pond Health Campus in Greencastle. He was a lifelong farmer. He was born July 14, 1931, in Bellmore, Indiana, to the late Raymond Berry and Beatrice Martin Berry.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Patty Moore Berry, whom he married May 29, 1954. Also surviving, six sons, Rodney (Adele) Berry, Mike Berry, Doug (Sue) Berry, Dwayne (Chico) Berry, Terry Berry and Tom (Karen) Berry, all of Rockville; two sisters, Carol (Bill) Dowell of Rockville and Joyce (Nes) Gonzales of Arizona; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Melvin, Max and Jim Berry; and one sister, Darlene White.

He was a graduate of Bellmore High School. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Rockville Elks Lodge #2471. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, birds and his dogs.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 2, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, with the Rev. Greg Robbins officiating. Burial with military graveside honors by Parke County Veterans will follow in Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Gooch Funeral Home.
