Marka Jo (Richardson) Presslor, 86, passed away on May 29, 2016. She was born on June 5, 1929 to George and Bereniece (Cook) Richardson in Clinton.

Marka graduated from Mecca High School, Indiana State Teachers College and received her master's degree from Indiana State University. She taught first grade for 34 years at Rockville Elementary School, as well as teaching at Plainfield and Montezuma early in her career.

She was a past regent of the Estabrook Chapter of DAR, a member of the Nathaniel Foote Chapter of the National Society of the Colonial Dames, the Parke Vermillion Retired Teachers Association and the Indiana Retired Teachers Association. She served on the boards of the Hixon Cemetery Association and the Rockville Public Library for several years after retirement.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Tony; daughter, Dava (John) Stravinsky; two grandsons, Louis and Charles; and sister, Sharon Richeson of Patoka. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephew also survive.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories at Roselawn Memorial Park, in Terre Haute.
