Terre Haute, Indiana - TERRE HAUTE - Marjorie Jeanne Poore, 77, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away October 25, 2025.

She was born on October 10, 1948, in Lincoln Park, Illinois to Joseph Guth and Helen (Johnson) Guth. Marjorie worked as an Operator at GTE for 25 years, before her retirement. Marjorie was a longtime avid golfer. She enjoyed cross-stitch, reading, and murder mysteries.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Ronald Lee Poore; her parents; son Ronald H. Poore; and siblings.

She is survived by her daughter Catha McCarty (David); grandchildren Josh McCarty, Nikki McCarty, Regan McCarty, Jamie Poore, and Bailee Poore; nephews Lee Poore and David Poore; great-nephews Brayden Poore, Braxton Poore, and Griffin Poore; great-great-niece Lennah Kate; brother Joseph Guth; lifelong friend Pam Lovelette; and her cherished K-9 companion Joey.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, November 3, 2025, at 12:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home. A private burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park, that only family will attend. Visitation will be in the funeral home Monday, from 10:00a.m. until service time.
