Madeline Lucille Van Hook Obituary
Madeline Lucille Stultz Van Hook, 90, passed away peacefully at the Gibson Family Center of Hospice of the Wabash Valley wing in Union Hospital with her children and grandchildren by her side on Sept. 7, 2018. She was born Feb. 15, 1928, to Carl and Beatrice (Bailey) Stultz in Terre Haute.
Lucille loved her family and was a great cook. She never could wait to cook for her adored grandchildren.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Richard Van Hook (2008), whom she married on Nov. 28, 1946; and her sister, Norma Jean Van Hook.
Lucille is survived by her children, Becky (Steven) Spicer, Barbara (Dennis) Hendrix, and Richard Van Hook; her grandchildren, Brooke (Mike) Welte, Scott (Kristy) Lawson, Brett (Nicole) Van Hook, and Brittany Van Hook; her great-grandchildren, Dean and Ellie Welte, Kate and Parks Lawson, Brock, Bowen, and Madelynn Van Hook; her sister, Phyllis Brown; her sister-in-law, Mary Alice Buffo; her brother-in-law, Billy Dean Van Hook; several nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Millie Cleghorn.
Per Lucille's wishes, cremation has been chosen. There will not by any services at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted with Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Fond memories and condolences can be made online at www.mattoxwood.com
