M. Shirley (Gardner) Bradley, 86, of Terre Haute, IN formerly of Jasonville, IN passed away at 10:48 P.M. Thursday, August 3, 2023 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

She was born February 5, 1937 in Jasonville, IN to John E. Gardner and Thelma L. (Barton) Gardner.

Shirley married Norman "Shorty" Bradley on March 13, 1954; he passed away May 12, 2000.

Survivors include her granddaughter, Jayme Lynn (Johnson) Copeland (Aaron) of Terre Haute, IN; great-granddaughter, Reegan Lynn Copeland; brother, Jerry Wallace Gardner of Safety Harbor, FL; son-in-law, Kenneth Howard Johnson of Terre Haute, IN. She is also survived by her best friend Joann Crichfield of eighty years; and second daughters Linda Sue Lee and Tutti Russell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Shelia Johnson; and sister-in-law, Dori Blakely Gardner.

Shirley was married to the love of her life Norman "Shorty" Bradley for 46 years. She attended Shakamak Community Church while living in Jasonville and then Union Christian Church in Terre Haute. She loved her family and was especially proud of her great-granddaughter, Reegan. When she wasn't spending time with her family she would be watching her Pacers and Sycamores play basketball. Shirley also loved to play bingo with her friends at Peddle Park.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, IN. Visitation is scheduled from 10 A.M. to noon Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at the funeral home. Services are immediately following at noon with Pastor Mark Grayless officiating.

Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
