Lois Irene German Obituary
Lois Irene German, of Terre Haute, passed away Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at Springhill Village. Lois was born Feb. 17, 1930, in Staunton, to Everett and Myrtle (Jones) Smith.
Lois was a valedictorian graduate of Staunton High School and married Harry German Sr. of Montezuma. She was a career homemaker, avid writer, and family historian.
She is survived by three daughters, Brenda (Lonnie) Lewis of Cincinnati, Phyllis German of Fresno, Calif., and Jane (Dave) McNally of Largo, Fla.; two sons, Harry (Carol) German Jr. of Ottawa, Ill., and Anthony German of Terre Haute; granddaughters, Sherri Kay True, Danielle Bosse, Cheryl Macklin, and Jennifer Sauerwein; grandsons, Timothy Palm, Zachary McNally and Andrew Michael German; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Thela Raubuck; brother, Floyd Smith; and brother-in-law, Robert Roebuck.
