Terre Haute, IN - TERRE HAUTE - Our beloved mother and grandmother, Linda Patterson, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, at the age of 81 after a lengthy illness.

Linda was born in Carbon, IN to Lucille Grogan and Lester "Buck" Harper and spent a happy childhood with her brothers Curtis Harper and Bradley Harper, sister Barbara Harper Dehart, and beloved grandparents Nora and Charles Harper. She lovingly raised her three children - Danelle Kratzer Giannini, LiAnne Kratzer Morales and Derek Kratzer with her late husband Daniel Kratzer; and later married the love of her life, George Patterson. Her life was further enriched by grandchildren she adored: Zane and Jacob Krat- zer, Carina and Gabriel Giannini, and D.D. and Sophia Morales.

Throughout her life, Linda brought warmth, humor, and creativity to everything she did. She had a knack for making friends wherever she went and could light up a room with her sparkling wit and unforgettable laugh. She approached life with a mix of grit and good humor - sustained, in no small part, by her lifelong devotion to potato chips and Diet Coke, which she considered essential food groups.

Her family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff and residents of Westridge Healthcare Center for their kindness, compassion, and support during her final years.

Linda was a gem [mdash] funny, resilient, and full of life. She leaves behind countless fond memories and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
