Lewis Wayne Allen, age 49, departed this life Thursday, March 14, 2019, at the Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind.
He was born Dec. 29, 1970, in Terre Haute, Ind., to Muriel Allen. He was a graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School. Although being confined to a wheelchair, Lewis lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed movies, video games and talking on the phone.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chester and Vera Allen; uncles, Chester Jr., Kenny, Alvin and Larry; and one aunt, Rita. Lewis leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Leslie; mother, Muriel; brother, Lance (Bobbie) Debouse; sister, Jessica (Andre) Turner; aunts, Marsha, Sandra and Allegra; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Cremation was scheduled, with a memorial service Saturday, March 30, 2019, at noon, in the Highland Missionary Baptist Church. A repast will follow the memorial in the St. Paul Baptist Church, 1000 S. 15th St. Russell Funeral Home assisted.
