BRAZIL - Leroy Carl Royer, 87, went to be with the Lord November 1, 2019, at Fairway Village in Indianapolis. He was born in Bowling Green, Indiana, on May 10, 1932, to the late Virgil "Doc" and Nellie (Kitch) Royer. Leroy graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1950 and served his country during the Koren War. He married his wife of 65 years, Barbara French, on August 17, 1952.

Leroy loved woodworking and worked as a carpenter for the Local 133 out of Terre Haute, and was also a proud longstanding member of the Cushman Motor Scooter Club.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Royer; son, Timothy Royer; and granddaughter, Misti Brockhold.

Survivors include a son, Thomas (Denise) Royer, Venice, Florida; daughter, Tammy (James) Pogue, Cory, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Jill Royer, Rosedale, Indiana; grandchildren: Kevin (Cassie) Royer, Nicole (Brian) Wallace, Brandon (Cory Dowers) Pogue, Jamie Barnhart, Jerri Royer, Christi (Jason) Busenbark, Jason Frazier, Jennifer Byrd and Kelsey Vermillion; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Cammie, Benjamin, Kailynn, Hanna, Landen, Henry, Lucas, Nora, Vivian, Jennifer, Josie, Jamesie, Gracie, Tate, and Brian James;

and several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 7, at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil, with Pastor Judy Lints officiating and burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Riley. The family will accept friends for visitation on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Condolences may be expressed at:
