TERRE HAUTE - Larry Ray Owens, 61, of Terre Haute, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 19, 2021 at his home.

He was born on February 10, 1960, in Terre Haute, to Robert Eugene and Nellie Mae (Waldon) Owens, Sr.

Larry is survived by his brothers, Robert E. Owens, Jr., Jerry L. Owens, Brian K. Owens and wife Cheryl, and Lawrence Owens; sisters, Kathy L. Oden and husband Jesse, and Brenda Page and husband David; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, George Owens.

Larry was a graduate of the Terre Haute North Class of 1978. He graduated with honors from Ivy Tech Community College with a degree in Robotics Technology in May 2021. He was employed as a Robotics Tech at Taghleef Industries.

A classic car enthusiast, Larry loved to work on old cars, re- storing them to their former glory. He was a good brother and friend and will be truly missed.

Visitation will be held from noon until 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will take place at 3 p.m., on Sunday, at the funeral home. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at:
