Lane Richard Melendy Obituary

Lane R. Melendy, of Seelyville, passed away May 2, 2018. Born in Detroit, on Oct. 19, 1951. He graduated from Wiley High School 1970.

He served as a medic in the Air Force, 1970-1974, Vietnam veteran. He was employed as lead machinist at Ivy Hill, retired after 36 years. Lane was a kind and generous person who never hesitated to offer help to those who asked for it. He had a brilliant mind and keen imagination. He will be missed by his loving family and friends, as well as, the leeches who fed upon his generosity and mischievous spirit; they will have to find a new host now.

Preceded in death by his father, Dr. Earle R. Melendy; and his wife, Vicky Wilson.

Surviving family members include his mother, Gene P. Barclay, sisters Leah and Lori Melendy, brother Luke Melendy; nieces, Mariah and Morgan Welles Melendy and Emma Melendy Williams; stepsons, Lummie II and JC Wilson; and seven grandchildren.

Lane will be cremated and laid to rest with other Melendy family members in Vermont. Rest In Peace duh WIZ!
