Kirby Martin Obituary

Clinton - It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Kirby Max Martin after a vibrant life and long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Kirby passed away on Thursday, April 23rd, 2026, at The Waters of Greencastle. Kirby was born in Clinton, IN. on September 13th, 1956, to Emmett Earl Martin and Martha Jean Smith Martin. Kirby was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Ross D. Martin.

Kirby is survived by his wife, Colleen "Connie" Martin, and daughter, Kirby Colleen Hege (John-Michael), brother, Steve Martin, and several nieces and nephews. Kirby was a letter carrier in Terre Haute for many years. He enjoyed playing cards, trivia, and watching the Green Bay Packers along with the Cincinnati Reds. He loved spending time with family and friends. Kirby loved animals and had 2 lap buddies at home, Baxter and Benny.

We would like to thank Gretchen Agee for caring for Kirby when he was still at home and all the caregivers and staff as The Waters of Greencastle and Gentiva Hospice.

Final arrangements have been entrusted to Frist Funeral Home. Cremation was chosen. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
