TERRE HAUTE - Kimberly S. Monroe, 70 of Terre Haute, passed away on March 8, 2025 in Cobblestone Crossings Health Campus after a lengthy illness, with her loved ones by her side. She was born in Terre Haute on February 22, 1955 to Don Monroe and Glenna Kravets Monroe.
Kimmy was a graduate of Terre Haute South High School, worked at Reuben H. Donnelley for 20 years and later retired after 20 years with the Terre Haute Fire Department in 2017 as an administrative assistant under Chief Jeff Fisher. She always had a smile on her face and was always up for a good prank.
Kimmy is survived by her sister Dru Kirkham, niece Amy Acree, and great-nieces Ashton and Kaitlynn. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Helen Monroe; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Steve Monroe, brother-in-law Tom Kirkham, and her "cats" Mogen and Callie.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been chosen, with no services scheduled. The family would like to extend a sincere thank-you to Cobblestone Crossings Health Campus who truly became her 2nd family, Sothern Care Hospice, and Dr. Camillo Mendoza, all for their exceptional care!
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society, in her memory. Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
