Kelsey Ernest Robinson, 78, of Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016, at his residence. Kelsey was born in New York City, on Aug. 20, 1937, the son of the late George and Ernestine Robinson.
Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his parents; children, Damon, Dedra and Keely Robinson; and siblings, Richard, Laverne and Kenneth Robinson.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Robinson; children, Kelsey Robinson of New Llano, La., David (Cynthia) Robinson of New York, Wallace (Heather) Clark of Shaker Heights, Ohio, Sonya (Clint) Taylor of Carson, Calif., Lajour (Michael) Sims of Twinsburgh, Ohio, and Beth (Jwaun) Moreland of Terre Haute; 12 grandchildren; sister, Jean Jones of Queens, N.Y.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial services will be Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3214 Hulman St., at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends at Kingdom Hall from 2 until 3 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Simple Cremations and Burials.
